The Voice Heard in the Shadows
✦ “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” — Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 30:21 ✦
Section One: When the Noise Fades, the Voice Begins
It does not always begin with Scripture.
It does not always begin in a place of peace.
Often, the first time you hear His voice,
you are in the middle of a mess,
on the floor,
at the end of your strength,
broken by life.
You do not expect revelation there. But that’s where He speaks —
because it’s the only place quiet enough to hear Him.
It’s a voice without volume.
Not loud, yet impossible to ignore.
It cuts through the fog, not like a sword —
but like a memory you thought you lost.
Not an external shout…
But an internal strike of clarity —
the kind that causes you to stop mid-thought and ask:
“What was that…?”
And the strange part?
It feels like someone you’ve known your whole life —
but forgot.
✦
Section Two: You Recognize It, Though You’ve Never Heard It Before
The world teaches voices to be filtered through logic.
But the soul knows language before the mouth ever learns.
When Yahuah’s voice came,
it wasn’t in Hebrew or English.
It was in recognition.
It reached not just your ears — but your marrow.
It sounded like truth you couldn’t argue with.
It didn’t ask.
It told.
“Leave that path.”
“Do not return there.”
“This is not who you are.”
“Come out. Come away. Return to Me.”
Sometimes it came through Scripture, a dream, a stranger, a child, a silent warning before danger.
But always, the voice came with one message beneath all others:
You are not lost. You are being called.
✦
Closing Reflection
You never asked to hear Him.
But once you did,
you couldn’t unhear Him.
The shadows no longer felt like home.
Sin no longer felt satisfying.
Fleshly goals began to rot in your hands.
Because you knew now:
There was Another in the room.
There was a Voice calling you out.
Not for comfort — but for purpose.
Not for religion — but for truth.
And though Babylon still shouted…
it was never louder than the whisper.
This was not imagination.
This was not madness.
This was the beginning of remembrance.
And for the first time,
you did not run from the silence —
you ran toward it.
