✦ STEP 3: THE 7 COMMANDED MOEDIM ✦
The Divine Appointments
“And Yahuah spoke unto Mosheh, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the appointed times (Moedim) of Yahuah, which you shall proclaim to be set-apart gatherings, even these are My appointed times.” — Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:1–2
They are not “Jewish holidays”; they are the courtroom appointments of the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
1. The Fixed Master Moedim Chart
Because the 364-day year initiates on Yom Rishon (Day 1) after the first Sabbath, every single feast day is eternally fixed to the exact same day of the week:

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| — | The Weekly Rest | Yom Shabbat | Days 7, 14, 21, 28 (Every Month) | Yom Shabbat (Day 7) | The eternal sign of creation and rest between Yahuah and His people (Exodus 31:13). |

| 3 | First Fruits | Bikkurim | Month 1, Day 26 | Yom Rishon (Day 1) | Waving the first sheaf of the spring barley harvest. Fulfilled by Yahusha’s bodily resurrection as the firstborn from the dust! |

3. How to Observe the Moedim in Your Home
- High Convocations (Miqra Kodesh):
- On Pesach evening, partake of unleavened bread and bitter herbs, reciting the deliverance from Egypt and redemption through Yahusha.
- On Day 1 and Day 7 of Unleavened Bread, cease from servile commercial labor, gather with brethren, and eat zero leaven for 7 full days.
- On Shavuot, gather with thanksgiving, study the Torah, and renew your covenant oath of obedience.
- On Yom Teruah, sound the shofar at dawn and praise Yahuah with shouting.
- On Yom Kippur, fast completely from food and water from evening to evening, turning in deep prayer and repentance.
- On Sukkot, build a temporary booth or gather outdoors, celebrating with thanksgiving and fellowship for 8 full days.
4. Courtroom Cross-Examination (Oral Defense Q&A)
Use these questions and answers to teach your family or defend the truth when questioned:
Question 1: “Why is Passover always on Month 1, Day 14 on the 364-Day Calendar?”
- The Defense:
- In Leviticus 23:5, Yahuah explicitly commands: “In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is Yahuah’s Passover.”
- Because Month 1, Day 1 always falls on Yom Rishon (Day 1 of the week), Day 14 always falls on Day 3 (Tuesday evening into Wednesday).
- This perfectly aligns with Yahusha’s prophetic fulfillment: He was impaled on the preparation day (Wednesday afternoon) and placed in the tomb before sunset, allowing Him to remain in the heart of the earth for exactly 3 days and 3 nights (Matthew 12:40) before rising at the close of the Sabbath!
Question 2: “Why does the traditional ‘Good Friday to Easter Sunday’ timeline fail the sign of Jonah?”
- The Defense:
- From Friday afternoon before sunset to Sunday morning before sunrise is only 2 nights and 1 day (Friday night, Saturday day, Saturday night).
- Yahusha gave only one sign of His Messiahship to the scribes: “As Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth” (Matthew 12:39–40).
- Roman Catholic tradition violates Yahusha’s sign by cutting the time in half; the fixed solar Passover fulfills it to the exact hour!
Question 3: “Why is the Feast of Weeks (Shabuot / Pentecost) always on Yom Rishon (Day 1)?”
- The Defense:
- In Leviticus 23:15–16, we are commanded to count fifty days from the morrow after the Sabbath (Mimachorat Ha’Shabbat).
- Counting 7 complete Sabbaths (49 days) brings you to Yom Shabbat; the fiftieth day (morrow after the Sabbath) is always Yom Rishon (Day 1 of the week).
- On the 364-day calendar, Shabuot always falls on Month 3, Day 15 (Yom Rishon)!
